After a very long break I’m back into my Pilates practice :-)
I jumped back on the reformer this morning & did a 45-minute full body strength & stretch session which, once finished had me feeling on top of the World!! Loose, limber and amazingly revived. Why have I left it so long? How could I have forgotten how good it feels in my own body?…..
The answer to these questions brings up a million excuses but underneath it all, I just stopped prioritising time for my own exercise, movement & health, instead opting for the comfort of family life, food, drink & sleep-ins. Maybe a by-product of the good ol’ Menopause - or maybe me just being lazy? hmmm? On top of that, my job had me sitting at a computer for 8hrs a day, 5 days a week so life has been sedentary to say the least!
At 52 with an ever-expanding waistline, depleting energy levels and feeling achey & pained, it’s time for me to turn the tables and reclaim my health!
My Initial Plan:
Walk 10,000 steps a day
Do Pilates @thesnugprivatepilates 3 times a week
Eat more fruit & veg
Drink less alcohol
Oh and instead of going back to my I.T. job, I’m also back into teaching Pilates from my home studio The SNUG Private Pilates & loving being immersed in doing worthwhile work - helping others on their road to improving their health through movement. It’s hugely motivational!!
Anyone is welcome to come & check out The Snug to see if my private Pilates lessons would work for you.
Yours in health & happiness
Ange :-)
